Jenea Rutty
Program Coordinator, Duet Advantage Fellowship
Jenea is passionate about educational equity and believes that everyone should have access to fair, equitable, and robust educational opportunities, regardless of their background or experiences.
Before joining Duet, she spent two years teaching in the classroom at Excel Academy Charter Middle School, where she learned what it truly means to support, teach, coach, and empower students from day one through the very end. This experience deepened her belief in the power of belief—and in the difference it can make when someone has a person in their corner who believes in them.
Jenea holds a Master of Education in Education for Equity and Social Justice and is passionate about using her experiences to empower and encourage others working in the field of education.
When she's not at Duet, Jenea can be found attending church services, spending time with friends, trying new recipes, and going on walks!
